Claude attended Palmer Chiropractic School in Davenport and was living in Davenport, IA in 1920. He then moved to LaPorte, IN where he worked as a chiropractor for 15 years. He was in World War I. He was owner and manager of Sonotone of Raleigh, a professional hearing aid center.

INFO FROM THOMAS RUSSELL WICKHAM: Claude's friends called him "Wick". Claude and Martha divorced in the late 1930's and he then moved to Raleigh, NC where he met and married Callie Hart. Rusty remembers his grandfather Claude telling him the story about 3 Wickham brothers coming from England, landing somewhere in New England. Two went west, one went south. Of the two that went west, one came to settle in Iowa.

OBIT: Raleigh, NC - Dr. Claude Russell Wickham, 76, died Sunday. He was owner and manager of Sonotone of Raleigh, a professional hearing aid center. A native of Kahoka, MO, Dr. Wickham as a graduate of the Palmer School of Chiropractic and practiced in IN for 15 yrs. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, with burial in Willow Dale Cemetery at Goldsboro. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Callie Hart Wickham of Raleigh; one son, Claude J., Wickham of LaPorte, IN; one sister, Mrs. H. W. Stevens of Winfield, IA.
