OH; ; son Claude R., 20, student of chiropractor, b. MO; son Alfred C., 16, window trimmer, dry goods co., b. MO; dau.-in-law Martha L., 25, b. MO.

OBIT: John W. Wickham died at home, Davenport, IA, Apr. 2, 1920, aged 50 yrs, 8 mo. and 1 d. The remains were brought to his old home, Kahoka, where the funeral services were held at the M. E. Church on April 4. Due to a blizzard, his remains were placed in a receiving vault and he was buried Sunday, April 11.
John W. Wickham, first son of Jacob A. and Sarah Wickham was born near Luray, MO on Aug. 1, 1869, but resided in Kahoka, MO the greater part of his life. He was one of the original, local employees of the Keokuk Canning Company in their vinegar works. He was also employed for a number of years with the Kahoka Condensed Milk Company. He was a carpenter by trade. Two years before his death, he moved to Davenport, IA, ran a boarding house and engaged in government work at the Rock Island Arsenal, at the close of the war.
John W. Wickham was united in marriage with Nellie M. Smith, daughter of James P. Smith in Kahoka on March 26, 1892. To this union was b. Mrs. Daisy Stevens of Mt. Union, IA, Waldo, who d. Mar. 1898, and Claude and Alfred Wickham of Davenport. Surviving are his widow, 3 children, his aged father Jacob A. Wickham and the following brothers/sisters: Mrs. Flora Whitehead of Keokuk, IA; Mrs. H. O. Butler of Kahoka; Thomas Wickham of Kahoka; and Charles Wickham of Kahoka.
