OBIT: The Cedar Rapids Gazette, Fri. Nov, 19, 1971: Carlton E. Wickham, 73, of 1103 Seventh street SE, retired Iowa Steel and Iron Works employee and a Cedar Rapids resident more than 30 years, died Thursday. Born in Walker Sept. 13, 1898, he was married in Cedar Rapids Jan. 10, 1938 to Ella Henderson.
Mr. Wickham was a member of First Lutheran church and the Machinists union. Surviving are two step-daughters, Mrs. Rose Pedersen of Chicago, IL and Mrs. Russell Stratton of Swisher, a step-son, Nute Anderson of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Louis and William Wickham both of Seattle, Wash; twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Services: Beatty-Beurles chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday by Pastor John M. Jensen. Burial: LaFayette cemetery, near Alburnett. Friends may call at Beatty-Beurles after 7 p.m. Friday.
