OBIT: LEADER-TELEGRAM, Nov. 24, 2006: Virginia L. Wickham, 87, of Eau Claire died Tuesday, November 21, 2006, at Dove Healthcare in Eau Claire. She was born in Eau Claire on September 14, 1919, the daughter of Arthur and Mable (Blomquist) Leipnitz. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1937. Virginia L. married Robert W. Wickham in Nashua, Iowa, December 30, 1938.
Her children remember their many camping trips together. Following retirement, Virginia and Robert spent many winters in Apache Junction, Ariz. Virginia enjoyed playing Bingo at Dove Healthcare this past year. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Virginia is survived by her five children, Sandra (LeRoy) Poppe of St. Paul, Minn.; James of Caldwell, Ohio; Janice Bluedorn of Altoona; Steven (Carol) of Kalispell, Mont.; and Becki Sanders of New England, N.D.; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; a son, Robert; grandson, Brian Bluedorn; brother, Willard Leipnitz; and sister, Lucille Sleeter-Krueger.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2006, at Grace Lutheran Church Chapel with Rev. David J. Irgens officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services Saturday at the church chapel. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery at 9 a.m. Monday. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.

Virginia married Robert W. WICKHAM, son of Harry George WICKHAM and Maude H. SIMMONS, on 30 Dec 1938 in Nashua, Chickasaw Co, IA.¹ (Robert W. WICKHAM was born on 5 Jul 1916 in Marshall, Lyon Co, MN,¹ died on 20 Jan 2006 in Altoona, Eau Claire Co, WI ¹ and was buried on 25 Jan 2006 in Lakeview Cem, Eau Claire Co, WI ¹.)
