Kathryn C. Wickham
Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Tuesday, August 17, at the First Baptist Church for Mrs. Kathryn Cope Wickham with the Rev. Leon Maxwell officiating. Interment was in Hawley Cemetery.
Daughter of John H. and Matti Idolla Smith Cope, she was born May 1, 1901, in Toledo, Ohio. For many years she lived in Grayville, Ill., where she was a member of the First Christian Church, Eastern Star and Rebeccas. A resident of Palacios for 10 years, she was an active member of the Wednesday Club. She passed away Sunday, August 15, in M. D. Anderson Hospital in Houston where she had undergone surgery last week.
She is survived by her husband, George H. Wickham of Palacios; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Christianson of Palacios and Mrs. Carol Boone of Houston; one son, George H. Wickham II of Houston; one brother, John H. Cope of Skiatook Oklahoma and seven grandchildren.
