OBIT, Aug. 4, 1973: Ackley - Earl C. Wickham, 80, of rural Ackley, died yesterday at Maple Manor Nursing Home in Aplington. Services at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Brandt-Fritz Funeral Home in Ackley. Burial in the Steamboat Rock Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Christine; one dau., Mrs. Harold Penelerick of Ackley; two sons, Richard of Urbandale, and Jay D. of Palmer, Alaska; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Collins of Steamboat Rock and Mrs. Gladys Smith of Steamboat Rock; and one brother Richard of Horseshoe Bend, Ark.
